metaflammation research focus

Scientific Focus

The EKF MSG is dedicated to understanding the dynamic interplay between metabolic alterations and chronic inflammation. Central research themes include identifying the molecular basis of metaflammation, understanding its impact on disease progression, and exploring its role in modulating therapeutic responses, particularly in cancer immunotherapy. Combining expertise from metabolomics, immunology, oncology, and other fields, the program addresses these challenges through a multidisciplinary approach. The ultimate goal is to develop tailored diagnostic and therapeutic strategies that consider patients’ unique genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors.

Structure

The overall goal of the EKF MSG is to recruit exceptional students and to provide an environment striving for excellence in research and training. The PhD program is designed to be completed within 3 years.
